On October 23, Grey Picture claimed that the crew of "Call Me by Fire" violated copyright by using images in an advertisement owned by Grey Picture to show at the concert on October 19 in Ho Chi Minh City without the consent and approval from Grey Picture.
On the same afternoon, the crew of the program "Call Me by Fire" officially responded and apologized to Grey Picture and the audience.
"First, the crew would like to apologize to Grey Picture, the image owners, and the audience who watched the clip "Call Me by Fire" which used illustrative images without prior permission.
This is a mistake, an unfortunate incident that should not have happened by the crew during the process of making the content for this clip. Regarding this, the crew has contacted Grey Picture to apologize and ask for a solution.
Thank you to the Grey Picture representative for being so supportive and cooperative in resolving the issue. We look forward to connecting with other image owners if the organizers have not contacted us in advance to apologize and find a solution together."
To come up with a solution, the crew of "Call Me by Fire" added: "During the resolution period, the crew would like to hide all related images on the program's social networking system and other information pages of the program. The crew will continuously update the audience to keep them informed of the situation."
Regarding Grey Picture's representative, they later said that "Call Me by Fire" had contacted to resolve the matter.
On the evening of October 19, the concert "Call Me by Fire" was held at Saigon Riverside Park (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City). The concert attracted about 20 thousand spectators.
The organizers of "Call Me by Fire" said they will hold the second concert in Hanoi next December.
