Artists' expressions when Big Bang returns at MAMA 2024

On the afternoon of November 23, the final awards ceremony of MAMA 2024 took place at Kyocera Dome Stadium in Osaka (Japan), becoming the focus of the media and social networks.

Besides honoring outstanding Kpop artists and groups of the year, MAMA 2024 has Kpop fans highly anticipating because of the presence of G-Dragon and Big Bang in the list of performing artists.

Around 2:30 p.m., G-Dragon appeared on the MAMA stage wearing pink from head to toe. He performed solo performances of his newly released songs “Power” and “Home Sweet Home.”

The return of Big Bang’s leader after 10 years made the whole stadium explode. The audience’s light sticks were dyed yellow, similar to the iconic “Bang Bong” light stick color of Big Bang.

During the performance of “Home Sweet Home”, both Daesung and Taeyang also took the stage to collaborate with G-Dragon.

After that, the 3 members of Big Bang treated fans with 2 of the group's legendary songs, "Bang Bang Bang" and "Fantastic Baby".

Not only the audience was excited, but the artists present at the awards ceremony did not hesitate to show their love for the famous Gen 2 group, once considered the "soul" of MAMA in the past.

The series of expressions of the artists and idols recorded by the program quickly spread on social networks. Many opinions said that the nearly 15-minute performance of G-Dragon and Big Bang was the most impressive highlight of this year's MAMA.

After the performance, G-Dragon was announced by actress Jung Ho Yeon as the winner of the “Music Vision of the Year” category.

In addition, the three most important Daesang awards were given to the two groups Seventeen and aespa. Seventeen received two awards, “Artist of the Year” and “Album of the Year”. aespa received the “Song of the Year” award with the hit “Supernova”.

At the previous awards night (November 22), BTS' Jimin received the first Daesang, "Fan's Choice of the Year".
