According to Korean media, HYBE has posted a notice: "After making a breakthrough as the first Korean entertainment company to surpass 2 trillion won in revenue in 2023, we once again set a record in 2024 with continuous growth in performance".
In 2024, HYBE's consolidated revenue will reach more than 2.2 trillion won (equivalent to 1.6 billion USD), up 4% over the previous year and setting a new record for the company.
Direct participating revenue decreased slightly by 1.8% to more than 1.4 trillion won (equivalent to 1.01 billion USD), while indirect participating revenue increased by 14.5% to 809.3 billion won (equivalent to 566 million USD). Although album sales fell 11.3%, performance sales grew significantly by 25.6%, offsetting the decline in album sales.
HYBE artists continue to dominate album charts, with their annual market share on the " Circle Chart" increasing from 38% in 2023 to 40% in 2024.
Seventeen has become a "ten million copy seller" for the second consecutive year, recording album sales of more than 10 million copies.
TXT has entered two albums in the top 10 every year of the " Circle Chart" and has three releases charted on the " Oricon Year-end Chart" in Japan.
ENHYPEN sold 5.45 million albums in 2024, ranking 8th on the US Yearly Album Chart and 9th on the Japanese Yearly Album Chart, proving their global appeal.
Despite causing a stir with HYBE, NewJeans has surpassed 3 million albums sold, becoming the best-selling female K-pop artist.
HYBE's digital music achievements are equally impressive. The company has dominated the " Circle Chart Global K-pop Chart", with 15 of the artist's songs entering the top 20.
BTS members Jin, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have included solo songs on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as RM with his participation in "Neva Play" by Megan Thee Stallion.
HYBE artists have held 147 concerts and 25 fan meetings in 2024, setting a new record for concert revenue.
Seventeen, ENHYPEN and TXT have topped Billboard's "K-pop concert revenue rankings in 2024". In the fourth quarter alone, concert revenue reached 188.9 billion won (equivalent to 132 million USD), double the same period in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Sales and licensing, driven by concert sales, have risen 29.1% to 420 billion won ($293.4 million) - the highest ever recorded.
