The issue was discussed on the online community theqoo. A fan shared screenshots showing that many fancam videos featuring BTS' V were deleted due to copyright claims by HYBE. They were upset that the videos were deleted without any prior warning.
One fan expressed: "Before, when a video was taken down due to a copyright claim, you would get a red label like the one on the left. But this time, it disappeared without a trace... It's scary. How can I re-upload this fandom?"
Other fans also pointed out that many of V's fancams have been removed from YouTube, while other BTS members ' fancams remain free of any copyright claims. They asked HYBE to "respect BTS member V" and "treat him fairly."
Another fan wrote on theqoo: "All of Taehyung's videos were deleted, but despite reporting the 'wrecker' videos, HYBE still didn't take any action? 2 videos with over 10 million views were taken down, and a total of 4 videos - both big and small accounts - were deleted in just 2 days.
But none of the “wrecker” videos that fans reported as copyright infringement were removed. Why is HYBE doing this now? Fans are already struggling with his hiatus due to his military service and this is too much.”
Korean netizens have speculated that HYBE has been actively deleting V's videos, some of which have garnered millions of views. However, others have disputed this, claiming that the removal of these fancams was appropriate because they violated copyright regulations.
On social network X, V's fans promoted the keywords "HYBE RESPECT TAEHYUNG", "HYBE TREAT TAEHYUNG EQUALLY" to demand justice for the male idol.
