At a regular press conference held on August 19, an official from the Korean National Police Agency said: “The investigation (about Suga BTS) has not yet been conducted. We are coordinating the schedule (for Suga's convocation) and plan to confirm the schedule this week.
We will conduct a detailed investigation into the circumstances leading to drunk driving."
Regarding whether Suga will be summoned separately at the police station to avoid reporters coming to take photos, the official said: "We will not summon on weekends or at night. We will apply the same procedure as summoning other suspects."
This official also questioned the suspicion that Suga and the management company Big Hit Music intentionally minimized the seriousness of the incident, saying "electric scooter with saddle" to "electric kickboard without saddle": "If there is such a thing, won't the investigation team look into it?" - he said.
In the apology post, Suga and Big Hit Music took a stance as if the investigation had ended, claiming Suga's driver's license was revoked and he also paid the fine.
But the police official said: "If they have been checked and punished for drunk driving right at the scene, they will be explained the remaining procedures. We don't understand why they made such a statement. Maybe because I was drunk I couldn't remember."

Suga was found to have fallen due to drunk driving an electric scooter on Hannam-dong Street, Yongsan-gu, Seoul at around 11:00 p.m. on August 6.
Suga claimed that he "only drank 1 beer", but when testing his blood alcohol concentration , the male singer's violation was up to 0.227%, much higher than the driver's license revocation level of 0.08%. Suga is the Kpop idol with the highest alcohol level violation ever.
