Early morning of December 9, many audiences came to My Dinh National Stadium to watch the concert Anh trai say hi.
The early arrivals are usually in the Fanzone, the area surrounding the stage. On the third night on December 7, thousands of fans lined up in the cold weather.
Audience member Bui Phuong Linh (18 years old, Hung Yen) said she arrived in line at 4am, behind about 20 people in Fanzone B.
However, Linh said that even if you line up right near the entrance, you can't be sure of getting a spot near the fence next to the stage.
"I arrived here at 4am, I found that was the most tiring time because it was cold, windy, and I stayed up all night because of anticipation and anxiety. When I sat here, I only dared to close my eyes to rest, not to sleep. I brought headache medicine and some food and water because I would be very tired if I didn't sleep.
At 12 o'clock, the gates open, fans will start checking tickets, checking their belongings through security, and scanning their IDs. So, if there is a problem with my belongings, my ID is scanned slowly, or I run a little slower, I can be overtaken by many people behind me, taking up a good position. After passing through 2 security gates, the race will begin (laughs)".
According to Lao Dong reporters, as soon as the clock struck 12, spectators rushed into the stadium, headed to the security gates and hurriedly went through the check-in procedures.
Then they ran as fast as they could back to the stands. During that time, many people tripped, dropped things, and were jostled. Although the staff and coordinators continuously urged the fans not to run and to stay calm, the scene was still chaotic.
Meanwhile, audience member Dao Nhu Ngoc (Hanoi) said she was willing to not eat or drink or go to the bathroom to keep her seat. Ngoc shared that if she stood up, she would no longer be able to keep her seat.
After entering the stadium, Ngoc and her family will "post" in a position and wait until 7pm when the concert starts. She has been lining up since 4:30am despite the cold weather early in the morning.
Many people may find it strange that many fans are willing to wait for half a day, but in fact, this culture is quite popular in countries with developed music industries such as Korea, Japan, Thailand, etc. If fans can hold on to the fence, they can interact with their idols, have a place to hold on to when watching the show, and get a close look at the stage. That is an advantage that few ticket classes have.
After night 3 took place on the evening of December 7, night 4 of the concert Anh trai say hi was held on the evening of December 9.
