In more than 20 years of Tao Quan airing, the audience has become familiar with the role of Jade Emperor played by People's Artist Quoc Khanh.
However, the first person to play the role of "heavenly ruler" was People's Artist Quoc Truong.
In 2003, director Khai Hung invited artist Quoc Truong to play the role of the Jade Emperor in the program Meeting at the end of the year, Spring of the Goat. That was the only time artist Quoc Truong participated in Tao Quan.
The character of Jade Emperor by People's Artist Quoc Truong is built with a cheerful and cheerful personality.
After that, People's Artist Quoc Khanh was often assigned the role of the Jade Emperor. The role of the Jade Emperor is also a memorable milestone in the career of artist Quoc Khanh. He always showed dignity, depth but also great humor when taking on the responsibility of "the head of heaven".
People's Artist Quoc Truong was born in 1966 in Que Vo district, Bac Ninh, and is a Cheo artist. After graduating from the University of Theatre and Cinema, he worked at the Ha Bac Cheo Troupe, and in 1990, he transferred to the General Logistics Department Cheo Troupe.

In 2007, People's Artist Quoc Truong became Deputy Head of the General Logistics Department's Cheo Troupe. In 2010, he was appointed Deputy Director of the Army Cheo Theater and then took over as Director in 2014.
In 2015, Quoc Truong was awarded the title of People's Artist. Since then, the artist has focused on management work, rarely participated in performances but still loves his profession and always misses the stage.
By the end of 2024, People's Artist Quoc Truong will retire, the position of Director of the Army Cheo Theater will be assigned to People's Artist Tu Long.
In addition to his successful career, People's Artist Quoc Truong is also admired for his happy marriage. His wife is Meritorious Artist Lam Thanh, 13 years younger than him, and is the Head of the theater's troupe 2.
The two met when they participated in the play "Carp pressing carp". In 2001, when Quoc Truong was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist, the two artists got married and lived together.
However, the wedding did not go as planned. The bride Lam Thanh suddenly suffered from appendicitis right before the wedding day. During the reception, Quoc Truong had to "ask for help" from the doctor to let the bride go home for about an hour to meet the family.
The bride had to sit in a wheelchair to the altar, walk around to greet guests, then was taken to the hospital for surgery.
After more than 20 years together, the couple is still very close. People's Artist Quoc Truong said that because they work in the same industry and profession, they always understand and sympathize with each other in both work and life.
"We work in the same profession so we understand each other very well. Even though we are older than her, we are still in harmony and have a happy family life. The important thing is that if we understand each other, life will be more comfortable," People's Artist Quoc Truong shared.
People's Artist Quoc Truong and his wife have a son and a daughter. The artist's daughter has gone abroad to study, and the son is in high school.
