Han So Hee's targeting of Anne Hathaway's role in the Korean version of "The Intern" caused controversy.

Recently, according to Osen, actress Han So Hee is being targeted to take on the lead role in the Korean version of the American film The Intern released in 2015.

In the original film directed by Nancy Meyers, actress Anne Hathaway plays Jules Hathaway, a CEO over 30 who successfully built a fashion startup with 220 employees in just 18 months.

Han So Hee's management company 9ato Entertainment confirmed that "The Intern" is one of the projects that the actress was invited to participate in, but did not provide any other information.

The character Jules is described as a young, enthusiastic leader with a beautiful fashion sense, extremely addicted to work and also caring for his employees.

According to Osen, Han So Hee's diverse appearance and acting ability are considered suitable for the role. However, Jules is one of Anne Hathaway's iconic characters, so the audience is also curious about what Han So Hee will do to bring a new look to this character.

The Hollywood original also features actor Robert De Niro as the male lead Ben, a retired CEO who returns to work as an intern at Jules's company.

Previously, it was reported that the role of Ben in the Korean version would be played by veteran actor Choi Min Sik.

However, Korean audiences have expressed mixed opinions about this remade version. In it, many people think that both Han So Hee and Choi Min Sik are not suitable for the character.

In particular, Han So Hee was said to be too young to look and not shy to play the role of a successful leader. Her ups and downs in acting are also a concern for fans who love the original work.

But there are also audiences who express their anticipation for this collaboration. Especially the appearance of Choi Min Sik - a famous actor who has won the Best Actor award many times at prestigious Korean film awards (Blue Dragon, Baeksang, Golden bell, Buil Film...).

Choi Min Sik is famous for his works Oldboy, The Quiet Family, Shiri, Tae Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War, Lady Vengeance, I saw the Devil, Nameless Gangster, The Admiral: Roaring Currents, Exhuma...

Therefore, the audience hopes that Choi Min Sik's acting ability will help guide Han So Hee and bring success to the film.
