On February 11, Miss H'Hen Nie happily shared that she accepted her boyfriend Tuan Khoi's proposal.
On his personal page, Tuan Khoi humorously wrote: "You guys said that in my previous life I saved the world so I could have you, so what should I do in this life so that I can have you in the next life?"
The beauty queen and her boyfriend have known each other for 7 years, but they only announced their relationship during Tet 2025. Since then, the couple has been more comfortable sharing with the audience photos recording memorable milestones in their love journey.
Miss boyfriend named Nguyen Tuan Khoi, 3 years older than her, is a photographer and director. Tuan Khoi is often behind the production of TVCs, rarely participating in showbiz gender events.
Talking about keeping her dating life a secret for many years, H'Hen Nie once confided: "I'm very shy about sharing my love life, and so are my friends. We are both self-starters, so we value our careers very much and just want to maintain a good relationship so we can focus on work. Relatives and family all know about our love life, but in public we are like strangers."
H'Hen Nie said her boyfriend met the criteria she wanted in a man, respect and love her. Tuan Khoi also helped her manage and support her work.
The couple have known each other since 2018, and have kept their relationship a secret for many years.When H'Hen Nie was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam and entered the top 5 of Miss Universe 2018, she said she wanted to keep her boyfriend's identity a secret to protect his and her family's privacy.
In mid-2020, H'Hen Nie and Tuan Khoi broke up.The audience suspected that they had a rift when Tuan Khoi deleted the beauty queen's photos and unfollowed her on Instagram.
The couple "resumed the old love" and then broke up again in the middle of 2023. When they came back together, H'Hen Nie and her boyfriend spent time together, towards life.
H'Hen Nie said Tuan Khoi was not "taste" of her, he was an optimist, thinking simply and she was more complicated. That made both of them feel inappropriate, but after a long time together, she and her boyfriend understood, sympathized with each other and decided to get married.
In 2024, H'Hen Nie revealed that he bought his home in Ho Chi Minh City, and his fiance decorated the house. In her free time, she still went back to her parents to work in the fields, cook, and grow vegetables. She used to spend 600 million VND to help her family repair stilt houses, build houses for parents, buy large land in the countryside.
Miss still keeps a simple lifestyle, often volunteer, spending money to improve life for parents.
