On March 20, the organizing committee of the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest, including Tien Phong Newspaper and Hoang Thanh Media Joint Stock Company, held a press conference to announce the Miss Vietnam 2024 Final round.
The Miss Vietnam contest started in December 2024, and has nearly 2 months of receiving applications and admission. The organizing committee has received the largest number of applications in history, with the results of more than 300 applications after preliminary selection to the preliminary round.
Speaking at the press conference, Journalist Phung Cong Suong, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of Miss Vietnam 2024 said: Nearly 300 contestants submitted valid applications, 41 contestants were selected after two rounds of Southern region preliminary and Northern region preliminary. The organizing committee, the judges, and the Advisory Board have taken advantage of even the smallest opportunities for each contestant to not only select the most deserving person, but also not to miss potential contestants.
Nearly 300 contestants attended the Preliminary Round, making a strong impression on the Organizing Committee with their completely natural beauty, confidence, courage and intelligence. Each contestant has their own personality and beauty, contributing to the colorful and glorious picture of Vietnamese women".
Mr. Phung Cong Suong emphasized that Miss Vietnam 2024 is writing beautiful stories, contributing to inspiring young people about physical training, intelligence, talent, honesty and dedication to the community.
This year, for the first time, Miss Vietnam recorded a reality TV show, focusing 41 contestants on a common house, going through challenges to help contestants express their beauty, talent and leave a stronger impression on the public's mind.
Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, a production partner of the reality TV series of the Miss Vietnam contest, affirmed that the reality show is designed with a series of activities rich in reality and imbued with humanity.
"The reality show is an opportunity to provide an in-depth and comprehensive view of the contestants' journey; an opportunity for contestants to express themselves with challenges that match the contest's criteria; enhance interaction to attract audiences; and at the same time mark the transformation of Miss Vietnam", Huong Giang said.
Huong Giang believes that there will be unpredictable candidates, sometimes creating unpredictable situations. "The show will not have details that overly affect the contestants' image. Personal views will be expressed moderately to ensure practicality. All content of the reality show will be carefully censored by the organizers and judges".
The first 4 episodes with the theme of Brilliant Origin opened the journey and the first challenges, before 41 contestants entered the Final night (episode 5), then went through the next 4 episodes called Brilliant Rising.
In this journey, 4 ambassadors were selected, including Tourism and Environment, Humanitarianism, Sports and Fashion, Communications and Arts.
The Miss Vietnam 2024 Final Night is scheduled to take place in Hanoi in April 2025, promising to explode with modern and eye-catching competitions and art programs.
