On August 10-11, Kpop group IVE (including Gaeul, Yujin, Rei, Wonyoung, Liz, Leeseo) successfully held the last 2 concerts for their first world tour titled "Show What I Have", at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena (KSPO Dome) in Seoul, South Korea.
After kicking off its world tour last October at Jamsil Indoor Stadium, IVE held 37 shows in 27 cities in 19 countries, including stops in Japan. , Asia, Europe, North America and South America.
This girl group just debuted nearly 3 years ago, but has already reached an important milestone by performing at both KSPO Dome in Seoul (Korea) and Tokyo Dome in Tokyo (Japan) - which are big stages that many artists dream.
The concert at KSPO Dome opened impressively with the group's performance of the hit song "I Am" in all-white outfits. Fans cheered, seemingly forgetting the hot weather.
Jang Won Young expressed, “We have been busy touring abroad for the past 10 months and I miss our Korean fans very much. Thank you for coming."
Known for their energetic performances, IVE chose a band to perform live music, rather than playing the usual recorded backing tracks.
A series of the group's hit songs such as “Eleven", “Accendio", “Love Dive", “Kitsch”, “After LIKE”, along with a rock version of the song “Royal" were performed. In addition, There are also solo stages for each member, allowing each member to shine.
Japanese member Rei shared: "I was worried whether we could successfully complete this tour during 10 months of traveling around the world. But as I stand here today, I still feel uncertain." Despite the summer heat, the scene that DIVE (IVE's fandom) created was as beautiful as cherry blossoms in spring.
As the concert was coming to an end, Yujin added, "It's sad to think that the tour is coming to an end. I'm not sure when we'll see each other again, but I love performing and can't seem to wait any longer." so I can see you all again soon.
I will continue to work hard. I'm also really grateful to all the staff who worked so hard with us."
In Korea, IVE is often called the " children's president " because of the group's large number of young fans, especially elementary school students.
But the concert at KSPO Dome witnessed many Gen Z fans (born around 1997-2012) and Millennials (born around 1981-1995) in attendance, creating an atmosphere vibrant.
Outside the venue, the sight of parents waiting to pick up their children also created a memorable moment.
Before the final shows of the world tour, IVE attracted attention with a performance at Lollapalooza Chicago - a major American music festival.
