In episode 14 of "Spacetime", Lieutenant Colonel Dai and his teammates encourage people to stabilize their lives in the resettlement area.
However, some people were still not used to the new life and wanted to return to their old village. Dai followed a man named A Sao into the forest and was falsely accused of breaking the fence of a local's house and causing a cow to escape.
A group of villagers invited Dai and Son into their house, locked the door, and “questioned” Dai for losing the cow. They claimed that the army had deceived the people and robbed their land, so they forced the villagers to return to the resettlement area.
Lieutenant Colonel Dai said that the people living in the national defense forest area were wrong, but he was still forced to pay compensation by a group of drunken men.
His teammates said that Dai used to work in a combat unit, so his personality might not be gentle and he doesn't understand the psychology of ethnic minority people.
The leader of this group was Vuong. Vuong constantly made up stories and made negative comments about the army to incite the villagers. Faced with Dai's tough attitude, Vuong burned down the house, shouted and said that the army was bullying the villagers.
Even though many comrades came to support, Dai and Son were still blocked by Vuong and his gang and were not allowed to leave. They thought that the soldiers wanted to steal their cows, their wives, and deceive them.
The man then revealed that he had hidden the cow, but the cow still went missing. The story became more complicated because many villagers believed Vuong and demanded Dai to pay for the cow.
In another development, Tai has feelings for teacher Tam so he always stays by her side and accompanies her. Tam tries to convince her grandmother to let her younger brother go to school, because he loves going to school and reading.
The grandmother tried to stop him but couldn't bear to see her grandchild's desire to go to school. The grandmother believed the superstitious preacher and was always worried about disobeying him.
Episode 15 "Timeless" airs at 9:00 p.m. on December 19 on VTV1.
