This morning (November 15), the semi-finals of Miss Universe 2024 took place in Mexico, opening with the National Costume competition.
In this competition, contestants from 127 countries around the world will perform traditional costumes and unique, splendid national cultural costumes.
This is one of the most anticipated competitions at Miss Universe, because it not only shows the contestants' performance ability, but also introduces the culture, art and history of each country through each costume design.
Vietnam's representative, Miss Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen, brought the "Ngoc Diep Ky Nam" outfit by designer Dang Tran Tri, inspired by the Nhat Binh shirt and butterfly parasol.

This national costume not only stands out with its vibrant colors but also cleverly combines modern and traditional elements.
In this competition, Ky Duyen stepped out with confidence and grace. When she opened her butterfly umbrella, the confetti effect added to the impression of her outfit.
The costume is inspired by the butterfly parasol of the Nguyen Dynasty in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, honoring the ingenuity and meticulousness of ancient artisans.

With her outstanding appearance and performance experience, Ky Duyen successfully completed the National Costume competition.
However, representatives from other countries also invested carefully and seriously, bringing equally impressive outfits, which motivated Ky Duyen to continue trying and breaking through in the next competitions.
Let's take a look at some other outstanding costumes at the National Costume competition of Miss Universe this year:
