On the evening of September 17, the opening ceremony of the 30th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) was held at the Udong Film Center, Busan (Korea), hosted by actor Lee Byung Hun.
Many Korean screen stars gathered at the event, in which Korean beauties such as Son Ye Jin, Han Hyo Joo, Han So Hee, Kim Yoo Jung, Shin Ye Eun attracted attention on the red carpet.
However, the most surprising character is female singer Lisa (Blackpink). Her appearance immediately caused a storm in the media and social networks. Because 2 days before, Lisa had just arrived in the US to attend the 2025 Emmy Awards, no one thought Lisa would quickly fly back to Korea to attend the Busan Awards.
The star of the movie "The White Lotus 3" wore a high-end tailored dress from the Maison Margiela brand, with a tight tight-fitting design that is both sexy and elegant. Many audiences praised Lisa as the queen of the red carpet of Kpop.
According to the Korea Times, this year's BIFF has a record number of films and guests, with 241 films officially selected from 64 countries. A total of 328 works will be screened during the film festival.
Previously, BIFF was a non-competitive film festival, but after 30 years, for the first time, BIFF introduced the official competition category.
Asia's top films will be honored in 5 categories of the "Busan Awards" including: Best Film, Best Director, Special Awards from the Jury, Best Actor and Best Artistic contribution.
The list of winners will be announced at the closing ceremony on September 26.
