On the evening of May 27 (Vietnam time), YG Entertainment posted a video on YouTube channel YG NEXT MONSTER, announcing the first member of the upcoming 4-member girl group, an trainee named Evelli, from Australia.
According to the introduction, Evelli was born on March 29, 2010, and is 15 years old this year. She has been an intern at YG for 2 years, when she was only 13 years old.
Evelli is 1m63 tall and speaks 3 languages (English, Korean, Spanish).
Notably, information about MBTI (personality classification) shows that this female trainee belongs to the ENFJ group, is an extrovert, described as having the qualities of " congenital, warm and attractive leader".
Therefore, the audience speculates that Evelli is likely to be the leader of the group.
Regarding their role in the group, YG announced Evelli as an all-rounder with good singing and rapping skills.
In the video, Evelli appears with a unique look, she wears a comfortable sports outfit, to make the natra bun hairstyle suitable for her age. Evelli showed his rapping ability with the song " nosebleeds" by Doechii.

Although only 15 years old, the female trainee has proven her confidence, mastered the stage and had a strong rap voice. Evelli may debut as the group's lead rapper.
However, the video introducing the first member of the YG rookie girl group is causing controversy.
Many opinions say that, compared to the age of 15, Evelli's talent is quite impressive, but if compared to YG's previous female rappers such as CL (2NE1), Jennie, Lisa (Blackpink), or most recently Asa, Ruka, Ahyeon (Baby Monster), Evelli's rapping skills are clearly inferior to his when they were both trainees.
However, others note that Evelli has only trained for 2 years and has been confirmed in the new group lineup. This is unusual for YG - a company where female idols have been trained for a long time.
4 Blackpink members have been trainees of YG for 4-6 years. 7 members of Baby Monster have internships of 3-6 years, of which the 2 female rappers, Ruka and Asa, both interns for 6 years before debuting.
YG's decision to let Evelli debut after only 2 years may be the reason why the audience evaluates her skills as not as perfect as other rappers, but this also shows that YG highly appreciates the potential and believes in this trainee.
In addition, many opinions criticized YG for this debut, because Evelli is too young, making the general age in rookie Kpop groups increasingly younger. Some audiences also think that Evelli's performance of the song " nosebleeds" is not suitable for age.
Meanwhile, Production Director Yang Hyun Suk announced in a video on May 26 the debut of a 4-member girl group, following Blackpink and Baby Monster.
He noted that the decision to form a 4-member band was based on their "great chemistry".
The group's official name has not been announced, but each member will be introduced starting from May 28.
According to Yang Hyun Suk, the company is considering releasing solo songs for all members of the girl group next year.
