According to Korean media reports on September 5, actors Ma Dong Seok , Ji Chang Wook and Seo In Guk are in talks to join the new Korean superhero film titled “Twelve” (working title).
“Twelve” revolves around 12 heroes representing 12 heavenly gods (also known as the 12 zodiac signs), as they fight against the evil that threatens Korea. It is also reported that Ma Dong Suk will be involved as a producer for the drama.
Although not much is known about the roles that these three actors will play, it is likely that each of them will represent a god. According to an exclusive report from a media outlet, Seo In Guk has been cast as the monkey god. Previously, Ma Dong Seok was said to be playing the leader of the heroes.
In particular, expectations for “Twelve” are high, because Ma Dong Seok is not only a box office guarantee in Korea with the hit series “Sin City”, but is also known as the first Korean star to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the role of a superhero in the movie “The Eternals”.
If Seo In Guk joins “Twelve,” it will be his second time working with Ma Dong Seok. The two actors previously had an unforgettable collaboration in the 2016 drama “Squad 38.”
Last year, Korea had a superhero movie " Moving " (Super Junior Team) with the participation of actors Ryu Seung Ryong, Han Hyo Joo, Jo In Sung, Go Youn Jung, Lee Jung Ha... achieved great success when released on the Disney+ platform.
The work was also honored at a series of prestigious Korean film awards such as the Daesang Cup (grand prize) at the Baeksang Arts Awards and the Blue Dragon Television Awards...
Therefore, “Twelve” promises to follow the success of “Moving". The film is scheduled to be released in 2025, the release platform has not been decided yet.
