According to Yonhap News, on November 13, girl group NewJeans sent a notice letter to management company ADOR (under HYBE Group) with the content: "We will terminate the exclusive contract if ADOR does not accept the request for correction and correction."
HYBE's internal conflict, involving former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, which began in April this year, has reached a major turning point, as the possibility of a dispute over NewJeans' exclusive contract is increasing.
According to the music industry, NewJeans sent this official announcement under the real names of all 5 members: Kim Minji, Hanni Pham, Danielle June Marsh, Kang Haerin and Lee Hyein. They also personally signed the end of the document.
In the letter, the five idols requested that ADOR resolve all serious breaches of contract within 14 days of receiving this notice. However, the specific details of the requests have not been disclosed.
NewJeans refers to HYBE's internal report released during a recent congressional audit, which stated: "We are tired of the phrase “New-IL-Le” (NewJeans-ILLIT-LESSERAFIM), just remove New (NewJeans) and create a new phrase."
The 5 NewJeans members requested ADOR, as the management company, to take appropriate measures to deal with HYBE's decision.
“We will terminate the exclusive contract if ADOR does not accept the repair request,” NewJeans stressed.
NewJeans also spoke out about the rumors that are spreading: "There are currently many baseless rumors related to the family and relatives of the members. We affirm that we have nothing to do with these rumors, and will take strong legal measures against those who intentionally spread false information to defame the group."
