Mie's controversial victory
In the 5th performance, the solo performances of the 3 team leaders Toc Tien, Kieu Anh, and Mie attracted the attention of the audience. Mie tried her hand at the three-stringed zither, Toc Tien played the water drum, and Kieu Anh used the moon lute and drum.
Toc Tien invested in both music and choreography, concept, and dancers. She invited the two eliminated Sisters, Vu Ngoc Anh and Dong Anh Quynh, to come back to support.
Kieu Anh had a solo performance imbued with folk culture and beliefs, with a combination of "Co Doi Thuong Ngan" and "Phong Nu". She expressed the beauty of Mother Goddess worship, dancing with spirits, playing the moon lute and drums.
Mie is considered to have little advantage because she is not a professional singer. She chose the song "Di giua troi ruc ro" which is familiar to young audiences and uses ethnic minority cultural materials.
However, Mie won against Toc Tien and Kieu Anh. This result caused controversy among the audience, because Mie's performance was quite safe, had no highlights, and her singing lacked technique.
