On the afternoon of October 4, the Bond band attended a press conference organized by Nhan Dan newspaper and IB Group Vietnam to share about the upcoming "Bond Live in Vietnam" show.
At the press conference, the four members of the Bond group all expressed their admiration for Vietnamese cuisine and were eager to visit some of Vietnam's scenic spots right after the show on October 5.
Bond's time in Vietnam was very short, but the group took the time to film a music video to thank Vietnamese audiences.
The program "Bond Live in Vietnam" is the second concert within the framework of the music program series "Good Morning Vietnam" initiated and implemented by Nhan Dan newspaper and IB Group, after the success of "Kenny G Live in Vietnam" held in November 2023.
The program hopes to promote the image of Vietnam to the world through MVs of international artists participating in the program.
What is even more special is that “Bond Live in Vietnam” not only brings the famous string quartet and their music to Vietnamese audiences but also uses all ticket sales to support people affected by storm No. 3.
"Music is a great way to bring people together. However, each show will have a different stage and audience. This show will have a lot of energy so it will bring surprises to the audience," said Bond.
The girls happily said hello and gave many compliments on the Vietnamese ao dai. The costumes will be adjusted to suit the performance.
Before returning to Vietnam to perform as part of the "Bond Live in Vietnam" program, the group performed with many other artists in joint shows in 2015 and 2016.
The organizers said that Bond's concert in Hanoi will follow a common format and meet international standards in terms of stage and sound. Bond will perform the most successful and familiar works to Vietnamese audiences, including the legendary "Victory".
Notably, the four members of Bond will wear Ao Dai for the first time when performing. This is also unprecedented in the group's history of touring abroad.
Eos Counsell shared: "We are honored to be asked to wear traditional Vietnamese costumes because they are very elegant and beautiful. We hope to be able to perform in those costumes but need our arms and shoulders to be comfortable to play the music."
"Vietnamese women look so graceful in their costumes that we really look forward to performing in ao dai," said Tania Davis.
Bond is a British string quartet consisting of Tania Davis (violin), Eos Counsell (violin), Elspeth Hanson (viola) and Gay-Yee Westerhoff (cello). The group is internationally renowned for combining classical music with pop and a variety of electronic styles.
To date, Bond has sold 5 million albums, maintaining its title as the world's most successful string quartet after more than 2 decades of debut. Along with impressive music, Bond has made a strong impression on global audiences thanks to his fiery performance style and sexy costumes.
“Bond Live in Vietnam”, taking place at 8:00 p.m. on October 5, 2024 at the My Dinh National Convention Center, promises to be a night of music with many emotional levels on the stage of the capital Hanoi.
Vietnamese audiences will be immersed in a world-class, luxurious musical space that is also intimate and full of nostalgia.
