The preliminary round of the Northern region of the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest attracted nearly 200 contestants. This is the largest number of contestants ever in the preliminary round of the region, and many bright contestants make it difficult for the audience to choose the excellent candidates for the Miss Vietnam 2024 Final round.
At the Northern region Forecast round, the judges include poet Tran Huu Viet, architect Hoang Viet Trung, People's Artist Vu Tu Long, Associate Professor. Dr. Nguyen Viet Khoi, Miss Vietnam 2004 Nguyen Thi Huyen and Miss Vietnam 2020 Do Thi Ha.

A representative of the Organizing Committee of the contest said that hundreds of applications have helped detect many potential candidates. They are representatives of Vietnamese beauty that are outstanding in both beauty and intelligence, ready to further spread the cultural values and aspirations of young people.
Before the Preliminary Round, the Organizing Committee proactively contacted each candidate to explain the rules, conditions for taking the exam and humanometric testing procedures. Miss Vietnam 2024 is steadfast in its original beauty criteria.
Candidates with human factors will continue to enter the interview round. Here, candidates are evaluated by the judges for their overall knowledge through short questions.
In the Northern Preliminary Round of the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest, contestants must go through a closed interview and humanometric measurement.
The preliminary round of the Northern region not only recorded a large number of candidates but also impressive candidates' conditions. Many contestants are over 1.7 m tall, some of whom are 1.8 m tall.
The preliminary round also attracted a large number of candidates who were good at foreign languages to express themselves. In front of the camera camera lens, many candidates confidently demonstrated their English, Chinese, and French skills. Some candidates are lecturers, IELTS 8.0.

Miss Nguyen Thi Huyen is eager to return to Miss Vietnam after more than 20 years of being crowned as a judge. The beauty shared: "My time in the competition, I only realized that I had to wear a neat outfit. Now, young people know how to be more beautiful and express themselves more. In our time, contestants were also aware of expressing themselves but were very awkward.
When participating in the world beauty pageant, I always thought I would win, never thought I would lose. Although I did not have beautiful outfits like other contestants, I had enthusiastic support from my home audience. Therefore, I advise candidates representing their homeland and their school to remember the collective, remember that they are representing that collective to be calm and confident to shine".
After a day of serious work, with nearly double the number of contestants compared to the South, many bright contestants, the Jury selected 26 contestants from the Northern region to enter the national final round of the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest.
After announcing the results, along with 18 faces selected from the Southern preliminary round, the finalists were guided and informed about the upcoming schedule.
