“Love Scout” was also the most-watched show in its time slot among viewers aged 20 to 49, with an average rating of 2.8%.
“Love Scout” is a romance drama that revolves around the story of Kang Ji Yun (Han Ji Min), a CEO who is great at work but clumsy at everything else, and Yu Eun Ho (Lee Joon Hyuk), a handsome, very capable secretary who is also a single father who is good at taking care of children and housework.
Viewers were surprised by the drama's growth in ratings. "Love Scout" started with a rating of 5.2%, increased to 6.5% in episode 2, and skyrocketed to 10.5% in episode 3.
Many viewers believe that the film was supported in the first episodes largely thanks to the appearance and chemistry of the two main actors.
On the online community Theqoo, Korean viewers commented:
“It's been a long time since I've seen such a sweet, warm and peaceful movie. The two faces are so similar it's crazy.”
“The content itself is average by my standards, but the chemistry between the male and female leads is really good. I only skimmed through the company's episodes, but I found it interesting when the male and female leads appeared. It was especially interesting to see Lee Joon Hyuk's faceless face.”
“The content is fun and just right, the chemistry between the two is great.”
“Lee Joon Hyuk is really handsome. I was amazed by his face the whole time I watched the drama.”
“I can't help but watch it because of Lee Joon Hyuk. Seriously, why are you only doing romance dramas now?”
In episode 3, there is a lot of new content that makes viewers more curious about the main characters' stories. The painful and haunting past of the cold director Kang Ji Yun is revealed.
Her father, who had promised to live long and always protect her, died in a fire. Since then, Ji Yun has lived alone, haunted by nightmares in a cold, empty house.
As an adult, Ji Yun worked in a human resources and employment company - Careerway. But because she protected the interests of her clients, she was considered a "murderer", causing the death of the company's CEO.
Kang Ji Yun later founded her own company Peoplez, taking the company to the second position in the industry as CEO. But she was constantly sought revenge by the new CEO of Careerway, ruining projects.
Episode 3 also shows the increasingly open and close relationship between Kang Ji Yun and Yu Eun Ho.
The all-around secretary tidied up the CEO's office, helped her complete her new project, took care of her when she was injured... Ji Yun also unconsciously paid attention to Eun Ho, and she also had an interesting meeting with his daughter at the bookstore.
Episode 4 of “Love Scout” will air on the evening of January 11 on SBS and Netflix.
