The MAMA Music Awards has just announced the official list of performing artists for this year's awards ceremony, which will be held on November 21 in Los Angeles (USA) and November 22-23 in Osaka (Japan).
Many famous Kpop artists and groups appeared on the list such as G-Dragon, aespa, Seventeen, Byeon Woo Seok, (G)I-DLE, MEOVV, IVE, Lee Young Ji, TXT...
But the duo Rose (Blackpink) and Bruno Mars, previously reported by Korean media to attend MAMA, were both absent.
This made the audience regretful, because Blackpink has never attended the MAMA awards ceremony since their debut, so many people expected Rose to be the first.
On the other hand, if Rose and Bruno Mars attend, there is a high chance that the audience will witness the performance of the hit song “APT.” on the first music stage.
However, despite her absence from MAMA, Rose is currently planning to promote her debut solo album “rosie” in Korea.
The female idol recorded for tvN's popular entertainment show "You Quiz on the Block" on November 13.
Rose is the first Blackpink member to appear on “You Quiz on the Block,” where she will share various stories about her music career with MC duo Yoo Jae Suk and Jo Se Ho, scheduled to be released in December.
Rose will also be appearing on KBS 2TV’s “The Seasons: Rainbow,” hosted by singer Lee Young Ji. The Blackpink singer is preparing a special stage for the show.
Recently, SpoTV News reported that Rose confirmed her appearance on Big Bang's Daesung's YouTube chat show "Zip Daesung". The episode has already been recorded.
This information is surprising, because for a long time, Blackpink and Big Bang members have not interacted with each other, even though they are artists from the same old company YG Entertainment.
In addition, JTBC has just posted a video featuring Rose. She congratulated students who had completed their college entrance exams in Korea and could freely listen to the song “APT.” Previously, because of its “addictive” melody, this song was included in the list of “banned” songs for the Korean college entrance exams.
Rose promises to appear on the latest issue of JTBC Newsroom.
On November 16, Rose held a pre-listening party for her album “rosie” in Seoul.
During the livestream on the evening of November 14, she revealed 6 songs in this album including "Number one girl", "Game boy", "Toxic till the end", "3 AM", "Not the same" and "2 years".
Rose added that the album “rosie” will have a deluxe version with a total of 15 songs, not just 12 songs like the standard version.
Additionally, Rose's hit "APT." featuring Bruno Mars will be featured on her upcoming album, scheduled to be released on December 6.
