The series of activities on the theme " Colors of Uncle Ho City" organized by the Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with other units, took place from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., on April 19, 26, April 29, and April 30.
The program is part of the series of Uncle Ho's City Colors activities, expected to attract about 10,000 audiences to participate directly at the locations, along with millions of viewers through TV channels, livestreams and online platforms.
The location of the activity is in front of the headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Hue walking street, City Theater, Ben Bach Dang Park space area (including the Saigon River section, from Ba Son Bridge to Nha Rong Wharf)...
In the series of activities with the theme " Colors of Uncle Ho City", Ho Chi Minh City will present 3D Mapping of creative groups from countries: France, Belgium, Singapore with the theme: "50-year journey of heritage and the future" on the surface of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee building.
The series of activities also includes the program "Flower Lantern Night on the Saigon River" and water sports performances. Flower boats decorated for cheering, Don Ca Tai Tu boats, tourist boats... parade on the Saigon River, creating a beautiful picture of lighting on the river at night.
The flower lanterns are decorated with brilliant lights, combined with the art performances of "Don ca tai tu" to bring the audience back to the traditional cultural values of the South.
Some water sports demonstration activities include fireworks spraying, Sailing boats, surfing, Sup, dragon boats, water motorbikes, phanformer boards, flying shows using Flyboard, fireworks phanformer boards, underwater art lighting shows to create more lively atmosphere, introducing impressive and diverse sports in Ho Chi Minh City.
A floating stage on the river is arranged directly on Nguyen Hue street, creating a central highlight "shiping" performing activities in harmony with the overall activities creating an impressive river art party.
Notably, at night, in the high-altitude space of the Saigon River area (in front of Nguyen Hue Street), Ho Chi Minh City will perform 2,000 drones ( drones) flying high and arranged them into iconic images depicting the development process of the city and celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
After the drone performance, Ho Chi Minh City organized a fireworks display to end the festival on a grand background of music for 15 minutes.
On the night of April 30, a special parade and equitation performance will take place in Ho Chi Minh City led by the Ministry of Public Security on Nguyen Hue Street from Ton Duc Thang Street - Hoa Sen Water Supply Station (Nguyen Hue - Le Loi intersection) to Nguyen Hue and back; the flute performance program in front of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
Ho Chi Minh City will have a community art performance "Khan Danh Tran" in a community interactive style, creating a spreading effect in a large space (all over Nguyen Hue Street and the area in front of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Dai Sen roundabout area).
The performance creates the image of a scarves, a sacred object that has been associated with Southern culture, associated with resistance wars against invasion, and is also a profound cultural symbol of the people of the Southern region.
This night, Ho Chi Minh City will perform 10,500 drones in the air from 8:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., to set a Vietnamese record for the largest number of drones at a time. Then there will be an artistic fireworks display.
