According to information from the Soompi online newspaper, part 2 of the Korean horror series "Sweet Home" will officially resumed filming after more than half a year of being delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Part 2 will start filming from mid-November. The film continues the developments in part 1 when the world is gradually being destroyed by a type of virus that has spread to the human body. In the face of the urgent situation, the Korean Government has coordinated with the army to establish combat teams as well as research and specialise in developing anti-viral drugs.
However, according to the production team, part 2 will have a big change in the script. The content is built on a new character line, expanding when no longer focusing on residents living in Green apartment complex. Many opinions say that with the new direction of director Lee Eung Bok, the blockbuster will achieve impressive results when released to the audience.
In addition, the two main actresses participating in part 1, Lee Si Young and Park Kyu Young, have confirmed their comeback, while the other artists have not responded. Part 2 of Sweet Home is expected to be released in 2022.
Previously, Sweet Home part 1 caused a stir as soon as it was released in December 2020. After only the first 48 hours of release, the work reached more than 1.3 million views and entered the Top 1 trending on many copyrighted online film platforms.
In addition, the keyword phrases "SweetHome" and "SongKang SweetHome" were also pushed to Top 1 on Korean and some countries around the world's Twitter. On Netflix's Youtube channel, some excerpts of the film also reached more than 5.4 million views, 142,000 likes and more than 12,300 comments.
