AI brings many opportunities but many challenges
In your opinion, can AI music be considered a true work of art?
- For me, AI-composed music cannot be considered a true work of art. It is just a product of human-made technology.
In your opinion, the increasingly deep participation of AI in composition and singing is creating what opportunities and challenges for the Vietnamese music industry?
- According to the general trend of the times, artistic activities including music cannot stand outside the wave of digital technology development. AI brings many opportunities.
AI creates many new and unique products, forcing artists and music producers to update every day, every hour with technology.
AI helps improve music quality, helps filter noise, creates many new sound effects that traditional music is sometimes difficult to do.
AI helps Vietnamese music and Vietnamese artists access world music closer and faster with a shorter path.
In addition, AI creates new industries in the field of music production such as audio programming, music design... to help shorten the production process. Previously, the technology process was very sophisticated and complicated, but now through AI technology, it will approach faster, get closer, get closer to listeners and create a sometimes higher quality product.
However, the challenges are also very clear for the Vietnamese music industry.
We need to train and develop high-quality human resources to operate the technology. That is, there must be a truly specialized team to meet and operate, using AI technology to perfect and enhance music products.

If you have the opportunity to collaborate with AI in the process of composing or recording, are you willing to experiment?
- For composers like us, I would like to confirm that I don't.
AI only helps somewhat, such as in post-production or sound processing, the overall sound of each master or mix vocal.
As for composition, AI is a product of technology, it cannot replace human hearts. For the composer, everything begins with emotions, the true vibrations of the heart. It is that primitive emotion that creates melodies, images, and feelings that touch listeners.
AI cannot make audiences turn their backs on real artists
As AI is increasingly popular in composition and singing, what is your biggest concern?
- AI certainly has a strong impact on creative activities. It can change the labor market, from the need for many people and a long time to make products, now only need a few people and very quickly.
It also affects the work of artists. It used to take me a long time to complete an order, but now AI can create a product in just a few minutes. This puts artists under greater pressure and competition.
AI also changes the habit of listening to music. listeners do not have to wait long, and are easily caught up in quick, compact, and plump products.
However, no matter how popular AI is, music from the human heart still has its own value, is genuine, emotional and lasts for a long time.
Will the fact that AI creates almost perfect "virtual singers" make audiences gradually indifferent to artists?
- I believe the audience will never turn their backs on a real artist. The increasingly high taste of cosmetics helps them easily recognize which products are made with passion and sincere emotions. Artists who compose "liver, bowel" for each melody, or singers who invest carefully and respect listeners, always receive worthy love.
AI can be curious in a short time, but cannot replace emotional depth. Only creations that come from experience and vibration have lasting vitality in the hearts of the public. Therefore, the audience will always support artists who are sincere, serious and fully dedicated to their profession.
