775 contestants compete in the Central - Central Highlands Informatics Olympiad

On March 21, the 6th Central and Central Highlands Informatics Olympic Competition Final Round opened in Da Nang City with the participation of 775 contestants.

The contest was organized by Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communications Technology (VKU), Da Nang University in coordination with the Vietnam Informatics Association, the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City and Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Da Nang).

This is an annual playground to promote the passion for learning, updating, practicing and creating programming solutions for students, contributing to providing high-quality human resources in the future for the Central region, Central Highlands in particular and the whole country in general.

The 6th Central and Central Highlands Informatics Olympic Competition went through 2 rounds, preliminary and semi-final in the form of an online competition with 2,848 students nationwide participating.

775 best contestants entered the final round. In addition to the traditional exam tables, the organizing committee has added an AI Challenge exam table for all junior high and high school students with entrance exams related to machine learning, computer vision and natural language processing.

The total prize of the contest for students with achievements is 110 million VND and many internships and reality shows in Korea for high-school candidates entering VKU, University of Da Nang.
