Dinh Nguyen Thuy Duong, a student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Ho Chi Minh City National University), said that the learning process is closely linked to the creation of text and images, so Thuy Duong is regularly using AI tools to answer word concepts, scientific questions, translate or convert text to images, or audio to text.
According to Thuy Duong, using AI helps female students shorten the steps that need to be performed and taken care of, increasing efficiency by about 40% compared to traditional ways of studying and working.
Similarly, Nguyen Thi Thuy Vy, a student at Ho Chi Minh City Open University, said she often uses AI to come up with ideas and find information.
Thuy Vy said she often uses AI to solve time-consuming tasks such as checking spelling errors and analyzing data.
Nguyen Thi Thanh Ngan, a student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, compared AI to a giant book that helps her find information. "I often use ChatGPT to support my studies, search for information, or solve homework," Thanh Ngan said.
However, according to Thanh Ngan, many times the information provided by ChatGPT is incorrect, so each time the female student uses it, she has to check it again.
Thuy Vy and Thuy Duong also said that the accuracy when using AI is not 100%. Much of the information provided by AI is incorrect. Therefore, the two female students believe that AI should only be a tool to support work processing and cannot replace humans.
"If we rely too much, we will lose the ability to think creatively, and all results returned by AI must be verified," Thuy Duong shared.
Dr. Le Manh Hai - Head of the Faculty of Information Technology, Gia Dinh University, commented that AI is developing rapidly. He said that AI is an achievement, using AI is not bad, if not used it will be a waste. However, students should not overuse AI.
According to Mr. Hai, the learning process of students now requires more creative exercises than right-or-wrong exercises, thus requiring students to think more and reason more.
"AI is a product made by humans, it cannot be creative and if students want to be creative, they have to do it themselves," emphasized Dr. Le Manh Hai.
