At the 2026 High School Graduation Exam, Dien Bien province had 8,010 registered candidates (including more than 990 independent candidates). The province has arranged 27 exam sites with 358 exam rooms.
At present, the preparation for the exam has been urgently completed by sectors, localities and exam sites, ensuring conditions for the exam to take place safely, seriously and in accordance with regulations.
The highlight in this year's exam is that Dien Bien province for the first time implemented support policies according to Resolution No. 13/2025 of the Provincial People's Council.
Accordingly, 3,983 students (including ethnic minority boarding students, semi-boarding students, semi-boarding students of the final year of high school and educational institutions organizing high school graduation exam preparation) are entitled to this policy.
Dien Bien Department of Education and Training - said that the number of students supported are studying at 36 affiliated educational institutions. The total implementation cost is more than 2.099 billion VND. Of which, direct support for students is nearly 1.749 billion VND and support for educational institutions is more than 350 million VND.

Not only policies, mass organizations and communities are also supporting the exam season for highland students. Recently, on May 27, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province organized a program to provide support to students in difficult circumstances to participate in the 2026 high school graduation exam.
79 students from the schools: Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Dien Bien Phu High School, Phan Dinh Giot High School and Luong The Vinh Secondary School were supported with 300,000 VND each.
According to the plan, 619 students from poor households, near-poor households and households in particularly difficult circumstances in the province participating in the 2026 high school graduation exam will receive support, with a total budget of over 185 million VND.

At Na Hy Ethnic Minority Boarding High School (Na Hy border commune), during the days of final exam preparation, the "Loving Porridge Pot" program is organized by the school every evening, not only warming the heart but also sending faith, hope and best wishes to the students before the important exam.
Sending an emotional letter to 12th grade students, teacher Nguyen Van Tap - Principal of Na Hy Ethnic Minority Boarding High School wrote: "In these last days, students, please study hard but also don't forget to rest reasonably, maintain your health and optimistic spirit.
Don't put pressure on yourself, and don't compare yourself to others. Each child has their own values, their own dreams and their own path to shine. Each child should be the best version of themselves”.
The Principal also advised: "When entering the exam room, bring with you the trust of parents, the expectations of family, the love of teachers and your own aspiration to rise up. Do the test with all confidence, honesty and the highest determination.
