On the morning of July 22, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province - worked with Hanoi University of Culture on the implementation of the construction of the school's second campus in Bac Ninh.
Hanoi University of Culture is a public university educational institution under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The school currently has a training scale of more than 10,000 students, trainees and graduate students with 23 majors/specialty at the University level, 3 Master's majors and 3 PhD majors.
It is expected that by 2030, the school's training scale will be 15,000 students and trainees; by 2035, the scale of 20,000 - 25,000 students and trainees will be seen.
At the meeting, Chairman of the Council of Hanoi University of Culture Truong Dai Luong hoped that Bac Ninh province would consider allocating the school an area of about 25 - 30 hectares of land in the area planned as the "University Village" of the province.
At the same time, support compensation and site clearance costs to deploy the construction of a second facility in the province, in order to meet the increasing training needs of the school.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan welcomed Hanoi University of Culture for its research and investment in the construction of a second campus in Bac Ninh.
Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan affirmed that the province will introduce a suitable location for Hanoi University of Culture to implement the investment project to build campus 2 according to the criteria set out in the opinion and proposal of the school.
Regarding the proposed funding to support site clearance, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that Bac Ninh province is currently prioritizing funding allocation to implement national target programs, especially social security programs for ethnic minorities, remote areas.
Therefore, it is recommended that Hanoi University of Culture proactively estimate funding and include it in the overall project for implementation.
Bac Ninh province will accompany, coordinate and create all conditions for the school in the implementation process, promote the project as quickly as possible, and at the same time, will pay attention to investing in infrastructure in neighboring areas.
According to the reporter's research, in the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, Bac Ninh will form university urban areas to attract higher education institutions from Hanoi Capital to move to or build branches in the province.
Currently, the Hanoi Law University campus 2 project is under construction with an area of nearly 28 hectares in Tu Son City (Bac Ninh province), with a total investment of more than 1,700 billion VND.
The project of Hanoi Medical University, Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment, Foreign Trade University, Training Facility - under Hanoi University of Science and Technology in Bac Ninh province is also in the process of implementation. Bac Ninh province plans to support these 4 projects with about 720 billion VND.
