The tournament is organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in coordination with the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnam Journalists Association, Education and Times Newspaper is the standing unit.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Deputy Head of the tournament organizing committee, Chairman of the Final Round Council - emphasized that 2025 marks the 8-year journey of the National Press Award "For the cause of Vietnamese education" being launched and maintained.
The tournament has become a beautiful symbol of the connection between journalism and education, a place to honor human values, spread the belief and aspiration for innovation in the whole society. The tournament is not only a professional activity but has truly become a spiritual forum for writers for knowledge, for people, for the future of the country.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi said that the tournament attracted more than 800 entries in 4 types of journalism: Print newspaper, electronic newspaper, radio and television. It is worth mentioning that besides central press agencies, many localities, from mountainous areas, islands to remote areas, all contribute their voices and breath of life to the vivid picture of Vietnamese education today.
The Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association affirmed that each work participating in the contest is not only a crystallization of the creative work of journalists but also a strong message about society's trust in education. The press continues to be a companion, a voice of criticism, and a source of inspiration for the education sector on the path of fundamental and comprehensive innovation.
Sharing at the press conference, Journalist Trieu Ngoc Lam, Editor-in-Chief of Education and Times Newspaper, said that the entries showed the clear maturity of the educational journalism team, from the choice of topics, data processing, to modern, multi-medium expression methods.
The quality of works from localities has also been improved in both content and form, so the number of winning works from localities has also increased significantly compared to previous years.
