The 2025 Lunar New Year holiday schedule for students is specified in the 2024-2025 school year time plan framework issued by the People's Committees of provinces and cities, specifically as follows:
Students in Yen Bai province will have 14 days off for the Lunar New Year, specifically from January 22, 2025 to February 4, 2025 (from December 23, Giap Thin year to January 7, At Ty year).
In Lao Cai province, preschool, primary, secondary, high school and continuing education students will have the Lunar New Year holiday from January 24, 2025 (Friday) to February 6, 2025 (Thursday), that is, from December 25, Giap Thin year to January 9, At Ty year.
In Hoa Binh province, the Lunar New Year holiday, summer vacation, time off school in case of extreme weather, natural disasters, epidemics and time for make-up classes are specifically regulated by the Director of the Department of Education and Training.
For preschool and general education, there are 2 weeks for holidays, Lunar New Year and other activities. For continuing education, grade 12 students have 3 weeks for holidays, Lunar New Year and other activities, grade 10 and 11 students have 2 weeks for holidays, Lunar New Year and other activities.
In some provinces and cities such as Bac Kan, Lang Son, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang, Lai Chau, Vinh Phuc, Thai Nguyen... holidays and Tet are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code and guiding documents.
