On December 9, Ms. N.T.D (Nam Tien Hung commune, Hung Yen province) reported to Lao Dong Newspaper that her younger brother, N.G.P, a 3A student at Minh Chau Primary School, has recently shown signs of psychological instability, anxiety, fear and complaints of pain in the shoulders and back.
According to Ms. D, after taking her child to the bathroom, the family discovered that P had many bruises and scratches on his shoulders and back. When asked, he initially just said he fell, however, after his relatives asked carefully, he said he was beaten by his teacher because he had to do homework.
Ms. D said that her younger brother did not dare to tell the family about the incident. "My sister came home with signs of fear and anxiety but did not say the cause. After the family questioned him, he said he was beaten by the teacher. If it were just a regular reminder, it would not leave many such bruises" - Ms. D shared.

The family has reported the incident to the local authorities and hopes that the authorities will soon investigate to ensure the safety of the students.
Talking to Lao Dong newspaper, a representative of Nam Tien Hung commune government said that they had received the feedback. The local authorities have gone down to work with the school and the student's family, and at the same time asked the school to clarify the incident.
According to the commune representative, the People's Committee of the commune has requested Minh Chau Primary School to clarify the content of the student's family's reflection in accordance with the regulations of the education sector.
"The case has been assigned to the police agency for verification and working according to regulations. After having specific verification results, the authorities will review and propose appropriate handling" - said a representative of Nam Tien Hung commune.
