Small corner, great love
Amidst the bustling pace of life, regularly from Monday to Friday every week, the sound of the sound of the Canh luong still resounds in the small house of teacher Vo Thi Son. With a few rudimentary tables and chairs, the blackboard has been stained with time, this place has become a familiar roof, carrying the dreams of many generations of poor children.
Her small figure and legs are somewhat inconvenient to walk because of her age, but Son's eyes are still lit up with joy and perseverance. She diligently sowed the first seeds of knowledge for children in difficult circumstances who were unable to go to school.
Recalling her early days, Ms. Son said that after graduating and being assigned to the locality to teach the Binh Trieu classes since 1975, the female teacher realized that there were many children in the area who could not go to school because of their poor families. So her love class was born from that.
With the desire to teach for free to make up for the children's needs, Ms. Son did not hesitate to take her own pension to buy books, notebooks, and textbooks for her students. The class maintains a stable score of about 25 students in the main school year, but in the summer alone, the number can increase to 50.
"The children are very eager to study. If he is good, he studies quickly, if he is slow, I patiently spend more time with him. The class takes place from 7am - 9:30am, from Monday to Friday. However, there are days when, because their parents are busy with work and can't wait to pick them up, I still patiently sit until 12 noon, when the last student has just returned to rest," Ms. Son recalled.

When healthy, still teach
Ms. Son's class has been maintained for 50 years and has witnessed many generations of students growing up. The green shoots of previous years are now solid adults, some children even return to visit their old classrooms, giving school supplies and desks and chairs to their children in the back years. "For a long time, when students come to visit and see them succeed, I am very happy. Giving up teaching, I just hope to have that, Ms. Son shared.
The most special and touching thing is that the classroom has become a warm tradition that spreads through generations.
Ms. Le Anh Loan (O Mon ward) emotionally shared: My parents used to study here and now my grandchild is also studying there. My grandchild's family is very poor, and Ms. Son teaches them completely for free. Thanks to that, I know how to read and write.
Tran Gia Bao, a small student studying here, smiled and recounted: All of my brothers and sisters used to study here. In class, she teaches me how to do math, write and especially teach me how to behave according to traditional medicine. Every day when I come to class, I feel happy because I get to learn a new lesson.
This year, at the age of 78, teacher Son is still persistent and keeps her every year's promise: "As long as I am healthy and persistent, I will still teach! Teaching for a few hours in the morning is fun. In class, they are like, " since I'm teaching these children, I'm just happy with those children."
For Ms. Son, the two weekends off from school, without the sound of children complaining, made him feel sad. Perhaps, besides her love for the profession, her love for the children and her students is the motivation for the old teacher to maintain this class for the past half century.
