This year, Hanoi Medical University organized 1910 enrollment targets for 19 majors/specializations trained at the main campus in Hanoi and the second campus in Thanh Hoa.
The school's admission combinations include A00, B00, B08 C00 and D01. For the fields of Medicine, Dentistry, Preventive Medicine, Traditional Medicine, the school only uses one combination B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology).
The school only applies 2 admission methods: direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and admission according to the high school graduation exam scores in 2025.
"In my opinion, the opportunity to be admitted this year is divided equally among all students" - Associate Professor, Dr. Le Dinh Tung said.
According to him, the school's benchmark this year, especially for majors with a benchmark score above 28 points last year, will not have many changes. As for majors with admission scores from 27 - 28 points, the admission scores this year will decrease slightly, following the general trend of the general scores that have just been announced.
"Studyes with a benchmark score of 26 will decrease more, possibly double. From 25 points of landfall, it could have to trip up" - Mr. Tung predicted.
However, according to Associate Professor, Dr. Le Dinh Tung, the standard score this year still depends on the adjustment and balance between admission combinations that are detailed by the Ministry of Education and Training.
"The conversion of exam scores between school combinations is carried out in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the coefficients announced by the Ministry" - Mr. Tung informed.
Also according to Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Thao, Director of the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training), it is expected that on July 21-22, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce the threshold for ensuring input quality for the pedagogical and health sector, and at the same time, announce the classification table for admission combinations. This is a new point of this year's university admission to ensure fairness for candidates.
In the past three years, the benchmark scores of Hanoi Medical University have generally remained stable. The Medicine and Dentistry major has a high entrance exam score. The admission score for this major ranges from 27.5 to 27.7 - only considering the combination B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology).
From 2024, the school will start enrolling students in Psychology. This is the only major that considers admission according to both combinations, C00 (Literature, History, Geography) and D01 (Math, Literature, English), besides the traditional combination B00. In the first year of major opening, the C00 combination benchmark score reached 28.83 - among the highest in the whole school.
Hanoi Medical University has tuition fees ranging from 16.9 to 62.2 million VND depending on the training major. Compared to last year, tuition this year has increased by 1.9 to 10 million VND per year.
The majors with the highest tuition fees include Medicine, Dentistry and Traditional Medicine. In contrast, the two majors of Psychology and Social Work continue to have the lowest tuition fees in the whole school.
