Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine has just announced its expected enrollment plan for 2025. Many majors have increased enrollment targets, such as: Traditional Medicine, up 20% compared to the enrollment target for 2024; Nursing, up 10% compared to the enrollment target for 2024. Pharmacy, up 30% compared to the enrollment target for 2024.
Regarding admission methods, the school will implement 6 admission methods in 2025: High school graduation exam results; Direct admission according to the regulations of the admission regulations; Using the results of the capacity assessment test, thinking assessment organized by other units for admission; Using only international certificates for admission; Combining high school graduation exam results with international certificates for admission; Using other methods.
Compared to 2024, the school has added 3 more admission methods. Last year, the school recruited students using 3 methods: High school graduation exam results; Direct admission; Priority admission.
Another new point in 2025 is that Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine will not apply foreign language as a secondary criterion when considering equal scores like in 2024 and earlier.
With the University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), it is expected that from 2025, it will open an additional admission method for students with a university degree to study Medicine and Pharmacy.
Prof. Le Ngoc Thanh - Principal of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Hanoi National University) said: In the coming time, the school will innovate enrollment. The school has studied the training model of Europe and America, which is that students graduate with a university degree and then study medicine.
From 2025, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy plans to apply an additional admission method for students who already have a university degree to apply for admission to the Medicine and Pharmacy majors. Accordingly, for these students, the Medicine major will study for 4 years and the Pharmacy major will study for 3 years.
In 2025, 12th graders will take the high school graduation exam according to the 2018 General Education Program with many changes compared to 2024 and earlier. It is expected that the university admission plan will also have some changes.
Currently, the Ministry of Education and Training is still drafting and has not announced new points of university admissions in 2025 so that candidates have more time to prepare and adapt to the new points.
