After the Ministry of Education and Training announced the general scores and exam scores, many universities in Ho Chi Minh City announced the admission score (bank score) based on the high school graduation exam results.
In particular, a series of schools have a floor score of 15 - the score threshold is considered low, a sharp decrease compared to previous years.
The schools that consider floor scores from 15 can be mentioned as: University of Finance - Marketing, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics - Finance, Hong Bang International University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages - Information Technology...
In particular, many schools have floor scores reduced by 1-4 points in some majors compared to the previous year.

Up to now, the strongest reduction recorded is the Veterinary Medicine major of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry (from 22 points to 16 points) and the Data Science major of the University of Natural Sciences - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (from 24 points to 18 points), down 6 points.
At the University of Natural Sciences, majors such as Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Science also recorded a decrease of 4 points compared to the previous year.
Similarly, at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, the floor score for the general high school graduation exam score for all majors is 16 points, down 1-4 points in some majors compared to last year.
According to some experts, the main reason for the downgrading of the floor score is that the general exam scores this year are lower, the downgrading of the floor score is to facilitate enrollment.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Dung - Director of the Communication Center, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - said that this year the school applies a common floor score of 15 points for all majors (except for majors in the Health Sciences sector that apply the minimum score according to the Ministry's regulations).
Compared to last year, this year's floor score is about 1 point lower - this is an adjustment in accordance with the new enrollment regulations, and at the same time reflects the trend of high school exam finals clearly decreasing in many subjects to create more opportunities for candidates and still ensure input quality.
According to the general plan, candidates will register their admission wishes to the system (unlimited number of wishes) before 5:00 p.m. on July 28.
