The highest scoring major is Computer Engineering Technology, majoring in Semiconductor Circuit Design (engineer) with 27 points; Next is Marketing with a score of 24.01.
The majors with the lowest scores are Computer Engineering Technology (bachelor) and Information Technology (bachelor - Business Cooperation) with a score of 22 points.
According to a representative of VKU, currently, the semiconductor chip industry is one of the dominant industries and Vietnam is taking the initiative to rise.
The Government's strategy for developing the semiconductor chip industry to 2030 and vision to 2035 aims to train about 30,000 to 50,000 engineers and experts in this field.
According to information from VKU, this year's admission scores and high school graduation exam scores in 2024 are both high, so the school admission score is higher than every year.
Next year, VKU will enroll new students with 4 training majors/majors including semiconductor circuit design, marketing, communication technology, and information security.
These are industries that are in great demand for high-quality human resources from the domestic and international markets.
VKU plans to recruit about 500 new students from 2024 - 2027, transitioning 180 students from nearby majors to Semiconductor Circuit Design. From 2028 onwards, the school will have students graduating in the field of Semiconductor Circuit Design.
In addition to training IC design engineers, VKU will also deploy rapid training classes, training in coordination with businesses that plan to enroll and train 60-100 targets annually.
In 2024, a master's training program related to Semiconductor IC Design will be opened.
