The project of the Inter-level Boarding School for Primary and Secondary Schools (THCS) in the border communes of Nu Ngam, Na Bung and Sam Mon is 3 out of 10 projects assigned by the People's Committee of Dien Bien province to be implemented in 2025 according to the Politburo's policy on building inter-level boarding schools in 248 border communes across the country (Dien Bien has 15 border communes).
Accordingly, the project of the inter-level primary and secondary school in Nu Ngam commune was built in Ten Nua village on an area of 6 hectares, with a total investment of more than 215 billion VND from the central budget.
The project is designed to be modern, including 31 classrooms, 14 subject classrooms, a library, a student dormitory, a teacher's public housing area, a multi-purpose house, an administrative block and other auxiliary items such as a sports field, electricity system, water, lighting, fire prevention and fighting, etc.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nong Quang Thang - Secretary of the Party Committee of Nu Ngam commune said that the investment in building Nu Ngam Primary and Secondary Boarding School plays an important role in the education of the border area, opening up better learning opportunities for students of all ethnic groups.
Nu Ngam commune requested construction units to focus on human resources, equipment, ensuring progress, quality, and safety of the project; the government and people will continue to coordinate and create favorable conditions for the project to be completed soon.
On the same day, in Na Bung and Sam Mon communes, a groundbreaking ceremony for the boarding schools for primary and secondary schools was also held according to a similar model. It is expected that by November 9, Dien Bien province will continue to start construction of 6 more primary and secondary boarding schools in the communes: Thanh Nua commune; Quang Lam; Thanh Yen, Muong Nha; Nam Ke and Sin Thau commune.

Previously, on July 27, in Si Pa Phin commune, Dien Bien province, a groundbreaking ceremony was held to build a Si Pa Phin Primary and Secondary School. This is also the first project to be implemented according to the new policy of the Politburo on investing in the construction of 248 boarding schools for primary and secondary schools in border communes on land.
These projects are expected to be completed in August 2026 to serve the 2026-2027 school year. When completed and put into operation, the project will create new momentum for educational development, promote the transformation of the appearance of border areas, contribute to the realization of sustainable development goals, improve the lives of people in border communes.
Dien Bien province has implemented a school construction campaign for 15 border communes, implementing Conclusion No. 81-TB/TW of the Politburo and Resolution 298/NQ-CP of the Government.
In the 2025-2026 period, the province will build 10 new ethnic boarding schools at the inter-level primary and secondary schools in the communes of Thanh Nua, Sin Thau, Quang Lam, Na Bung, Nam Ke, Thanh Yen, Muong Nha, Nuat Ngam, Sam Mon, Si Pa Phin; to be completed before August 30, 2026.
In the 2026-2028 period, continue to build the remaining 5 schools in Na Sang, Muong Cha, Muong Pon, Muong Nhe, Na Hy, striving to have 15/15 border schools by 2028.
The schools are designed in a modern, sustainable direction, in line with ethnic culture, with adequate infrastructure, public housing and student accommodation areas.
The campaign is associated with the movement "The whole country for beloved border students", mobilizing central and local budgets and socialized resources, demonstrating the determination to care for education and sustainable development of the Fatherland's border area.
