The above information was announced by Professor Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) at the Training Conference on Inspection and Control of the 2025 high school graduation exam this morning, May 27.
Mr. Chuong said that in previous years, the exam was printed on A4, so an exam usually had 4 to 5 pages, causing many difficulties in star printing and the possibility of a lack of pages. Therefore, converting the exam questions to A3 format will help printing more conveniently, minimizing the risks due to reduced page count.
Specifically, if in 2024, for multiple-choice subjects, each test bag must have 24 test codes printed on 4-5 A4 sheets, this year, the number of tests printed is equal to the number of candidates in each exam room. For example, if a class has 10 candidates taking the Physics exam, it will only print from the subject code 01 to the subject code 10, which can be combined on a piece of A3 (in two sides).
For component exam subjects in the combined test, instead of being present 10 minutes before the exam as before, candidates who only take the second exam will have to be present from the beginning of the exam and wait in the waiting room before entering the exam room. In addition, the break between the two component exam subjects in the combined test is also adjusted from 10 minutes to 15 minutes, giving candidates more preparation time.
The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26 and 27. This is the first year of the graduation exam according to the new general education program 2018.
Therefore, in order to ensure fairness for candidates studying under the 2006 graduation exam or university admission program, the Ministry of Education and Training will organize two separate exams under the two programs for two groups of candidates. Candidates taking the 2006 program will take the exam at their own exam scores.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, this year's exam has more than 1.16 million candidates registered to take the exam and an increase of about 100,000 students compared to 2024, of which about 25,000 students took the exam under the 2006 program.
