According to the Phu Yen Province Department of Education and Training, the live broadcast of the final round of the Road to Olympia program will be held at Nghinh Phong Tower Square (Ward 9, Tuy Hoa City) at 8:00 a.m. on October 13 (Sunday), according to the plan.
However, due to weather conditions, the live broadcast location of the Road to Olympia 2024 at Nghinh Phong Tower will be moved to Le Trung Kien Stadium (98 Duy Tan, Tuy Hoa City).
According to the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Yen province, it is expected that nearly 5,000 high school students in Phu Yen will participate in cheering at the Nghinh Phong Tower Square in the final match of the Road to Olympia 2024. However, after moving to Le Trung Kien Stadium, there are limited seats so the organizers prioritize students from Le Hong Phong High School. The remaining schools will not send students to participate.
"From last night to this morning, Phu Yen experienced heavy rain and strong winds, affecting the stage where the final match was held. To ensure the safety of fans and spectators, the Department decided to move the outdoor venue to the stadium," he said.
Ms. Tran Thi Le Thuy - Principal of Le Hong Phong High School - said that due to the change of venue, there will be about 1,000 students cheering for contestant Tran Trung Kien at Le Trung Kien Gymnasium, because seats at the alternative venue are limited.
The remaining 700 students will cheer at Le Hong Phong High School (Tay Hoa district) - where a large LED screen is installed for students, parents and people to watch and cheer.
It is known that at 8:30 tomorrow (October 13), the final match of Road to Olympia 2024 will be broadcast live on VTV3 - Vietnam Television with 4 connecting points: Hanoi, Hue, Gia Lai and Phu Yen.
This is the first year that Phu Yen province has had a contestant participate in the final round of the Road to Olympia. "Mountain climber" Tran Trung Kien of Phu Yen will compete with 3 contestants, including: Nguyen Quoc Nhat Minh (Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, Gia Lai), Vo Quang Phu Duc (Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted, Thua Thien Hue) and Nguyen Nguyen Phu (High School for the Gifted, Hanoi National University of Education).
