Hanoi is ready to welcome candidates taking the 10th grade entrance exam
On June 7 and 8, students will take 3 subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language.
According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training (DET), the 2025-2026 10th grade entrance exam has nearly 103,000 candidates participating.

Hanoi has arranged 201 official exam locations with more than 4,400 exam rooms, along with a reserve exam scoring system in districts, towns and cities, ready to respond to emergency situations such as bad weather, power outages or other objective factors.
At present, preparation for facilities and safety and security conditions is being closely reviewed throughout the city, to ensure the successful completion of the 2025 10th grade high school exam.
The Department of Education and Training of Ba Dinh District said that on the morning of June 4, the Steering Committee for the exam established 6 working groups to inspect facilities and listen to exam scores report on preparation work, plans to ensure security and safety for the 10th grade entrance exam.

Through inspection, the exam scores have completed preparation for the exam room. Each room has 24 sets of tables and chairs, arranged at the right distance. The electricity system, fans, and drinking water for the contestants have been carefully prepared.
In addition, the exam room, exam questions, lounge, security surveillance camera system, medical room... have also been inspected and reviewed.
All exam scores have solutions to handle possible unusual incidents. Especially incidents related to electricity and water systems, fire prevention and fighting... ensure success in the exam.
prohibited items to be brought into the exam room

The Department of Education and Training noted that to serve the test-taking process, candidates are allowed to bring into the exam room, including: writing button, line measurement, pencil, pencil, pencil, graphic drawing measurement, drawing tools, handheld computers that do not have the function of drafting documents, and do not have memory cards.
Items that are not allowed to be brought into the exam room include: Coal papers, pens, alcoholic beverages, weapons and explosives, fireworks, documents, communication equipment (collection, information broadcast, recording, recording) or containing information for cheating during the exam.

Another note is that in this year's exam, candidates are not allowed to bring Atlat Geography into the exam room. In addition, candidates taking the Chemistry exam are not allowed to bring the Circular Board and Dissolve Board to the exam room.
If candidates bring illegal items into the exam room, the exam will be suspended. Candidates whose exams are suspended will lose their right to participate in the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year.
One of the notable new points of this year's exam is related to the admission score calculation. Instead of multiplying the coefficient by 2 for Math and Literature as in previous years, this year, the admission score will be the total score of 3 subjects: Math, Literature, Foreign Language.
Each subject is calculated on a scale of 10 and does not multiply coefficient. This calculation method aims to ensure fairness between subjects, encouraging students to study all subjects equally.
The Department of Education and Training notes that before taking the test, candidates must record their full registration number and information on the exam questions, exam papers, multiple-choice answers, and filling papers.
According to Director of Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong, the entrance exam to grade 10 public high school is an important milestone, but not the only path to learning.
The Department is committed to accompanying and supporting all students who wish to take the exam, creating learning conditions for them in many suitable forms.
