The main connection point of the Road to Olympia Finals is at the studio of Vietnam Television and 4 connection points in Hanoi, Gia Lai, Thua Thien Hue and Phu Yen.
According to the draw results, the order of the 4 contestants in the 2024 Road to Olympia Finals is as follows:
Candidate Nguyen Nguyen Phu, Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted, ranked number 1;
Nguyen Quoc Nhat Minh, Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted - Gia Lai in 2nd place;
Vo Quang Phu Duc, Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted - Thua Thien Hue in 3rd place and Tran Trung Kien (Le Hong Phong High School - Phu Yen) in 4th place.
In previous Olympia competitions, all four contestants believed that starting position number 1 was lucky. Most of them did not like position number 4.
The 4 contestants who won a place in the final round of Road to Olympia 2024 all have a long list of achievements.
The first contestant to enter the final round is Tran Trung Kien, a student at Le Hong Phong High School (Phu Yen). The male student won the first quarter with 235 points. He is also the first contestant to bring Olympia television bridge to Phu Yen province in the past 24 years.
The male student is the valedictorian of Le Hong Phong High School, has been the best student in the class for 10 consecutive years, and won second prize in the National Chemistry Olympiad. Not only is he good at Mathematics and Chemistry, Trung Kien is also knowledgeable about Literature and History.
The second person to participate in the final round of the 24th Road to Olympia is Nguyen Quoc Nhat Minh, a student of Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted (Gia Lai) with a 250-point victory in the second quarter competition. Nhat Minh became the first person to bring the television bridge to Gia Lai.
Before entering the big competitions, Nhat Minh achieved many remarkable achievements such as first prize in the school-level Olympia competition and third prize in the city-level English competition. Nhat Minh also possesses quick mouse clicking skills, which helps him to answer questions excellently, creating an advantage in the competitions.
The third face to register for the final round is Vo Quang Phu Duc, a student of Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted (Thua Thien Hue). Duc Phu won the third quarter competition with 185 points. This is the 7th time Quoc Hoc School has hosted the annual final on television.
Phu Duc has a knack for Mathematics and likes to find practical applications of a theorem to memorize it. Entering the third quarter competition with the mindset of "win all or lose all", Phu Duc showed his determination and solid knowledge by continuously leading in scores throughout the program.
The last contestant to make it to this year's finals was Nguyen Nguyen Phu, a student at Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted, after winning a thrilling victory in the fourth quarter competition.
Nguyen Phu is also the only contestant to own all 3 laurel wreaths of the week - month - quarter among the 4 climbers competing in the final. Notably, the male student of Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted also owns an SAT score in the top 1% of the world.
This is also the second time in 4 years that the University of Education High School for the Gifted has welcomed a television bridge, since the appearance of contestant Dao Luu Dung Tri in 2020.
