Hanoi College of Tourism held an urgent meeting to announce details of A80 support money for students
After students reported that the training support for the A80 A80 festival was only 940,000 VND - lower than many other schools, Principal of Hanoi College of Tourism Pham Van Long organized a dialogue. He affirmed that the school puts the rights of students first and admitted that slow information makes students misunderstand.

The principal publicly disclosed the entire expenditure: students had 22 sessions participating, including 17 practice sessions (60,000 VND/session), 3 preliminary - final review sessions (180,000 VND/session) and 2 official sessions (200,000 VND/session), a total of 1,960,000 VND. The money for 11 days' meals is equivalent to 440,000 VND advance by the school, so students actually receive 1,520,000 VND. The payment of cash instead of bank transfer is to avoid procedures for students to have to return.
Regarding the issue of the receipt not clearly stating the amount, the Principal explained that he wanted students to record it themselves when receiving it, but the school did not explain in time, leading to misunderstandings and fake signatures. He affirmed that all expenses are transparent and will spend an additional amount of VND 580,000 in the second phase with the certificate at the student honoring ceremony. See more...
The new allowance policy is considered a great source of motivation for school staff
School staff are expecting the proposal to increase allowances according to Resolution 71-NQ/TW to be implemented soon from 2026. The Ministry of Education and Training is currently drafting a Decree regulating preferential allowances for teachers and staff, in which the proposed minimum allowance is 30% for school staff - a force that has long had low incomes and received little attention.

Many school staff share financial difficulties due to limited income, forced to work overtime to make ends meet. Equipment and clerical staff in Son La and Hanoi said they have to work from early morning to late night, while the salary is only over 6 million VND, not enough to cover the increasing cost of living.
The proposal to increase allowances brings great hope to the team of administrative staff - serving in schools. School staff believe that this policy will help reduce financial pressure, stabilize income and create motivation to stay in the educational environment for a long time, while properly recognizing their role in school activities.
