Hanoi informs about the enrollment plan when arranging administrative units
On April 25, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha chaired the meeting of the High School Graduation Steering Committee and enrolled in the school year 2025-2026. At the meeting, the units reported the preparation of facilities and human resources and proposed adjusting the time of enrollment of preschool, grade 1 and 6th grade due to the same time the government apparatus started operating (from 1.7.2025).
However, the city's leaders affirmed that they will keep the enrollment plan and time as announced stable, to ensure students' rights and limit disruption. Hanoi requires the Department of Education and Training to coordinate to increase communication so that parents have a clear understanding of the information and feel secure.

Ho Chi Minh City teachers worried about the results of the English proficiency survey
Many teachers in Ho Chi Minh City are worried after participating in the English proficiency survey organized by the Department of Education and Training, commenting that the exam is difficult and long, with the majority of scores being average. Some teachers are not confident because they have used English less for a long time, and at the same time think that there needs to be preparation in advance, the time of organizing the survey should be more reasonable.
Even though the results are not used for evaluation, classification or discipline, many teachers are still pressured and worried. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training affirmed that the survey is only aimed at assessing the current situation of English proficiency in the education sector to build a suitable development strategy, while committing to the confidentiality of personal information and survey results.
The survey took place from April 23 to 29 with the subjects being teachers and management staff at public schools. On the afternoon of April 23, 27 students of Nuoc Hai Town Primary School, Hoa An District, Cao Bang Province were taken to the District Medical Center in a state of abdominal pain, nausea and hives. The school immediately organized first aid and coordinated with parents to take the students to the emergency room. The incident has many people worried about the risk of food poisoning in schools.
Shortly thereafter, the Department of Health of Cao Bang province directed functional units such as the provincial CDC control center (CDC), the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene to collect food and drink sampling samples, and sent doctors to support the treatment for students.
