According to the reflection of a parent (whose child is in 3rd grade at a primary school in Ben Cat ward, Ho Chi Minh City), on April 13, seeing their child returning home from school showing signs of fatigue and unhappiness, the parent pressed him, and the child said that because he did not wear a scarf, he was punished by the teacher by injecting a needle into his hand.
In addition to the above case, some other students, whenever they violate regulations such as talking, not taking a nap, or violating class rules, are punished by the teacher. The incident makes students afraid, and there is a risk of contracting infectious diseases.
Talking to reporters, Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hanh - Principal of Luong The Vinh Primary School (Ben Cat ward, Ho Chi Minh City) - confirmed that the incident happened in grade 3, 6, the teacher involved is Ms. L.T. M.
Immediately after receiving the feedback, the school's Board of Directors worked with teachers and parents. It was determined that 5 violating students had been fined by having to inject themselves in their hands.
At the meeting, the teacher said that she had bought a syringe to use for her sick child. The next day, the teacher put it on the table and said to the students: "Anyone who violates or is not well-behaved should take the syringe to their own hand, I don't inject it into the students' hands".

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hanh, this is an act of violating professional ethics, things that teachers are not allowed to do, infringing on the health and body of children. Teachers are seriously wrong, thinking distortedly about children's education methods, violating children's rights.
The school has requested Ms. L.T. M to make a self-criticism report. At the same time, it said that it will strictly handle the case, propose suspension, not allowing teachers to teach and transferring to other tasks.
The school will also remind all teachers in the school to pay attention to issues that teachers are not allowed to do, protect students' health, and strictly comply with the regulations of the education sector.
