According to the reflection of some parents, on May 22, Dien Kim Secondary School held a school year summary. After the general ceremony of the whole school, students returned to class for activities, light parties, and farewells to homeroom teachers and friends before the summer vacation.
However, parents said that while students were living in the classroom, the school cut off the electricity. Notably, some parents reflected that the school principal had inappropriate words and actions, even going to the classes to ask students and parents to leave.
The incident was later shared by parents, expressing outrage on social networks. The reflected content stated that the act of final year students taking photos, light parties, and paying tribute to homeroom teachers on the occasion of the year-end summary is a familiar activity, carrying the meaning of teacher-student and friend relationships.
In addition to the incident on the summary day, parents also raised some other reflections related to the school's activities in the previous period. Including the organization of Mid-Autumn Festival activities and the list of recognized excellent students, causing some parents to be upset.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Vo Hong Son - Principal of Dien Kim Secondary School - denied the above-mentioned reflected contents. Mr. Son said that parents' reflections are incorrect.
Regarding the school cutting off electricity during class activities, Mr. Son explained that because class activities were over, the school had a power cut schedule. "And no one said anything," Mr. Son said.
Meanwhile, leaders of Hai Chau commune said that the locality is conducting verification and inspection of information reflected by parents.
