The above content is an open letter from Mr. Le Hong Thai - Principal of Phan Van Tri Primary School, sent to parents, partners and donors before the upcoming November 20th occasion.
Teacher Le Hong Thai said that every year, on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, the school receives many congratulatory flower baskets. However, these flowers are only used for a few days and then thrown away, which is a waste.
"This year, due to the difficult economic situation, through this open letter, the school respectfully requests that instead of giving flowers, parents, philanthropists, businesses and organizations please change the form by giving notebooks, milk and sports equipment so that the school can reward the students," Mr. Thai wrote.
According to Mr. Thai, this November, the school's main activities are the Illustrated Book Storytelling Contest and Phan Van Tri Challenge 2024.
Therefore, the school hopes to receive support and sharing from parents, donors, businesses and organizations to bring practical gifts - directly supporting children in training their mind, body and aesthetics, encouraging them to confidently participate in useful playgrounds.
Last school year, the Principal of Nguyen Van Luong Secondary School (District 6) also wrote an open letter asking to exchange flowers and cakes on November 20 for 89 health insurance packages for poor students.
