Previously, in April 2024, the Department of Education and Training of Phuoc Long district received information from officials and teachers of Phuoc Long town Kindergarten reflecting on a number of issues such as: the school's caterer repeatedly stole food from children's meals, under-weighed food for children, the school was not transparent about monitoring the kitchen management camera - only the Vice Principal was allowed to monitor, the Principal arbitrarily let the caterer bring leftover rice home...
After receiving the information, the District Department of Education and Training established a team to inspect the above reflections.
The inspection results showed that from March 26, 2024 to April 22, 2024, there were 17 times when the food service took food from students and some other foods to bring home, leading to the rice quantity in all 5-year-old kindergarten classes lacking 1-2 kg of rice/class...
Ms. Le Thi Cam Tu, the school's principal, showed signs of lax leadership and management, lack of inspection and supervision, allowing many of the above-mentioned issues to drag on without being resolved, and even agreed to policies that were not implemented in accordance with regulations.
Many issues have been reported by teachers and staff, but have not been thoroughly considered and resolved; assigning only the Vice Principal in charge of boarding and the Principal to monitor the kitchen camera management is not objective, leading to many violations.
Regarding Ms. Nguyen Thanh Trang, Vice Principal in charge of boarding, there was a lack of responsibility, not properly performing the assigned duties and responsibilities, leading to many violations in the assigned field of responsibility, covering up for catering staff, some matters discovered when teachers reported them but did not report to the Principal, and did not handle them thoroughly.
Regarding the role of the teaching staff, the assigned supervisors lacked responsibility in the 3-step supervision work specified in Regulation No. 1246 dated March 31, 2017 of the Minister of Health, leading to the situation of the kitchen stealing food and children's food for a long time during the school year.
The management and use of public assets of the school is not in accordance with regulations. The provision of meals and the use of the school's collective kitchen by the Vice Principal in charge of boarding for personal use is a violation of the management and use of public assets.
From the above violations of individuals and groups of Phuoc Long Town Kindergarten, the District Department of Education and Training will advise the District People's Committee to handle them in a disciplined manner.
