According to the investigation, the incident occurred in a classroom of grade 8 of Nguyen Trung Truc Primary and Secondary School (Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang). The incident occurred on the morning of February 24, when the plaster fell right when the class was taking a music class.
Mr. Nguyen Anh Khoa - Principal of Nguyen Trung Truc Primary and Secondary School - confirmed that there was an incident where a ceiling in the school's classroom peeled during class, fortunately no one was injured.
Nguyen Trung Truc Primary and Secondary School was built in 2018, and the school officially came into operation in 2021. The school has 30 classrooms. In addition to peeling paint in the classroom, there are also many peeling and seriously degraded plaster patches in the hallway. "The school has reported to the investor, the investor has reported to the contractor for repair," said Mr. Khoa.
Currently, the school has more than 1,600 students studying, this is one of the schools with a large number of students in Phu Quoc City.
