Compared to the 2024 - 2025 school year, there will be a decrease of nearly 3,600 candidates, 5 exam committees and 151 exam rooms. Nha Trang City has the largest number of candidates registered to take the exam with more than 3,900 candidates registered at 8 exam councils.
Of the 3 subjects in this year's exam, Khanh Hoa has English as an optional subject.
According to the exam schedule, in the morning of 3.6, candidates for Literature exam, math exam, the form of essay and 120 -minute test time. In the morning of 4.6, candidates take English exams, in the form of multiple choice combined with essay, 60 -minute test time.
On the afternoon of June 4, candidates taking the entrance exam to Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted will take the professional exam in the form of an essay, with a test time of 150 minutes.

According to the 2018 General Education program, the 10th grade admission method for the 2025-2026 school year has new points in the admission method, adding subjects to increase encouraged points.

Admission for students with exams in each subject achieving 1 point or more; the second wish admission score is 1.5 points higher than the first wish admission score, instead of 3 points as last year.
